Daylight entry into your house is necessary to meet today’s welfare requirements. It is essential to get the light well distributed, with the right intensity to your animals. This way you prevent sunlight and there is still sufficient daylight with your animals.
Scan-Air has developed a unique darkening system with which the windows can be steplessly blacked out from 0-100%. This system works with integrated counter rotating valves, so that all moving parts are protected against dust and/or moisture. The valves are spring-closed, and are opened by a hand winch or motor. Per barn is checked which type and which size is suitable for the situation in question. In this way the system is made entirely according to your wishes and to the welfare requirements for your animals. The Scan-Air black out roof and side windows are made entirely of plastic and stainless steel, which guarantees a long life. For every application we can make a suitable roof window or side window. A standard roof window of 103×125 cm has a net surface of 1.18 m2.
